The wildfire that started last Sunday now is in 7,200-acre blaze & remains just 5 percent
contained. It shifts away from Crown King toward Horse Thief Basin
As per the report, erratic winds form thunderstorms pushed the blaze toward homes & recreation facilities in Horse Thief Basin on Tuesday, but Mike King (fire information officer) says fire engines, drops from helicopters and tankers and hand crews protected all the buildings.
This wildfire forced about 120 people to evacuate from Crown King and with its growing blaze there’s no clarification until when they can return.

Since I’m on my last trimester of my pregnancy, we started in buying stuffs for the incoming baby boy in the family. I really love the catalog that my mother-in-law gave to us, which includes all you could possibly need in having a baby. The catalog includes the details & price of each item, and it truly helped us in setting our budget.

Honestly, I’m not really an “insurance-fan” person. Even when the time I started working in the Phils before, I heard a lot of recommendation from my former officemates on how insurance could possibly help me or my loved ones, its just that I’m not that much inspired on their system. And dwell certain amount of money.
Now, having Yoanna & another kid incoming, I started to get curious on some things that could help me in securing a nice future for the kids. One thing I observed here in USA is that there are different types of insurance. It seems every changes or any additional thing in your life, there’s an equivalent insurance.

Last week - June 16, 2008, USCIS finally released our green card. Both of my GC & my daughter’s GC have an expiration date after 2 years. This is normal though since it’s a requirement to file for lifting of conditions on the 90 days before such expiration date.
When I post the news that we got an approval from our application of AOS - adjustment of status, I received a lot of emails regarding the timeline I went thru on this entire application. And as what I promised I will post my timeline analysis in this blog. Forgive me for taking me a week to do this, I need to double check everything so I can give you the exact details of date. Fetal Development
By this week, the baby weighs two & a quarter pounds and measures 14.8 inches from the top of the head to the heels. He can blink his eyes which is now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. Other impressive new talents being added to your baby’s roster in the womb include coughing, more intense sucking & perhaps most important, better breathing. He’s also developing billions of neurons in his brain & adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world. Read the rest of this entry »

If you’re like me who works & also stores personal files (especially photos) in laptop, you’ll probably learned about to be more conscious with laptop memory.
To tell you honestly, I’m not really a computer-savvy person & checking its technical aspects in the first place when purchasing one was not my thing before. But now, that my work depends here & my personal files are Read the rest of this entry »

I’m nearly approaching my third trimester in this second pregnancy. Excitement just grew bigger & bigger as
my month due - September is just around the corner. Although with this excitement, my hubby knew how anxious I am of having a new baby without a nanny/babysitter. It’s just me & him. For sure my parents-in-law support will always be in the corner but this second baby is far different when I had Yoanna.
Before I had Yoanna, I already have a nanny for her. It’s just a 30-days leave from work to give birth & spent some full days with her. After that, back in the city & work.
Now I am one of the so-called “full-time-mothers”, I learned & realized what a tough job that is. I really do admire those other mothers out there who are having so many kids & yet they were good at it. Read the rest of this entry »

I just love browsing home décor magazines & TV shows whenever I have my free time. I’m so dreaming to have such a gorgeous house with impressive home lighting. Since childhood it’s been a part of my dream to have a house that will reflect my personality (or my family’s lifestyle).

Last Saturday - June 21, 2008, we brought Yoanna in the hospital because it’s been 5 days that she’s
suffering in diarrhea.
It started that Tuesday - Jun 17, when she came home from school with runny nose & slight fever. So, I gave her small dosage of Tylenol (for kids), then her temperature went down. She attended her school again the next day -Wednesday, the same thing happened she went home with slight fever. Again, I gave her Tylenol. Thursday, I observed that she’s not really in the mood although she wants to go to school. I thought it must have been the running nose. Besides I don’t want her missed the fun since Read the rest of this entry »
